1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device while you use the Service. Similar technologies include localStorage and sessionStorage. Their use is governed by the GDPR and by the Polish Telecommunications Act implementing the ePrivacy Directive.
2. Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest — the Service cannot function without them. Optional cookies (non-essential analytics, marketing) would be set only with your consent.
Verdiktum currently sets no optional cookies. We run no behavioural analytics, no remarketing and no profiling. The cookie banner in the Service is therefore informational.
3. Cookies we actually use
| Name | Purpose | Necessary? | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
verdiktum_session | keeps you signed in | Yes | 30 days |
verdiktum_locale | remembers your language | Yes (functional) | 12 months |
verdiktum_theme | remembers light/dark theme | Yes (functional) | 12 months |
verdiktum_cookie_ack | remembers the banner was dismissed | Yes (functional) | 12 months |
| payment provider cookies | secure transaction and fraud prevention | Yes (at checkout) | per provider |
The public verification page works without signing in; using it requires no cookie beyond the functional ones.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete and block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies prevents sign-in and payment but does not restrict access to the public verifier.
5. Recipients
Some cookies are set by the payment provider during a transaction. Full list: Sub-processors.
